What nerve, to say you’re the best rapper alive. You probably think you’re the shit because of the look in your fans eyes But what do they know, consumerism at its best So go ahead beat your god damn chest Yeah i guess talking over a beat can give you that title But what about the kid in the ghetto who sees you as his idol Did you even think before you speak? Oh yeah i forgot you like your sprite Easter pink Hold on did you say Common’s album flopped? Oh didn’t mean to interrupt, you can go on talking about lollipops! What you don’t know is that there are kids who couldn’t afford to buy it legit But they need his music like a drug or else they will get into a withdrawal fit All you have to do is use your last name and a number to the mix? The carter 3, got scrapped cause of a leak, some kinda hole But for Common it’s not about numbers, it’s about sharing his soul Your music hurts the people numbing the brains like anaesthetic Take a page out of commons book and mind your aesthetic Try finding forever, or even just try to Be!
