Actually meeting Common...

I mean, if you don't club, can't make it to the shows, let alone backstage...how do you get the honor of saying wassup personally to an artist, such as Common? I know someone that says they went to H.S. with him, and kick it on a regular, but why try to get in on that. And another thing...do everyday women have a chance? Women that may not have the petite physique, honey brown skin, and long extensions...do they get a chance, or just go unnoticed, unless being ignorant??? Tell me... Quote Report

Also think about...do you live in the celebrity teritory, if not, your chances are very slim. Maybe we should try to put something together being apart of his fan club and take a trip to see him. I havent spoken to my Common peeps in a minute. I've been working hard out here in D-town...however, usually meeting a celebrity is just being at the right place at the right time. Also think about...do you live in the celebrity teritory, if not, your chances are very slim. Maybe we should try to put something together being apart of his fan club and take a trip to see him. I'm out here in hollywood and its tough to get in touch with a artist unless you know someone in the business or by chance. Most talent have set schedules and rarely have free time to do what they please, especially during the whole tour and concert promoting time. If you dont live anywhere near entertainment meccas its really tough.

I have been trying to get another encounter with the devastatingly handsome hip hop icon myself. I too am from Chicago (suburbs, don't laugh) and it seems as though he keeps a pretty low profile when he is in town. I think one way is too get involved with Common Ground or any other charity or organization that he is involved with. The Obama campaign for example.
